Spartan has partnered with HotelPlanner, which will become the endurance and extreme wellness brand’s Official Hotel Partner in Europe, including the UK.

According to the pair, the partnership aims to deliver cost-effective accommodation to the more than 500,000 Spartan racers and supporters who are scheduled to travel to compete at one of the brand’s 55 event weekends in Europe in 2021.

HotelPlanner powers the provision of hotel and accommodation to sports teams, and holds partnerships with the likes of NFL franchise the Washington Football Team, USA Triathlon and the United Soccer League.

The partnership will provide special hotel rates to the Spartan community through a personal Spartan search engine. The search engine compares hotels and offers the most competitive rates on the market at a discounted price.

“HotelPlanner is delighted to bring Spartan’s competitors and attendees the broadest choice of accommodation at the best value for their money,” said Tim Gunstone, Global EVP Marketing and Advertising. “We will ensure all of Spartan’s European racers and supporters can get a great and safe night sleep before and after their big event.”

Emily leRoux, Director of Global Partnerships, Spartan added: “Through the creation of new opportunities, joining the Spartan community has never been easier.

“Our mission is to change 100 million lives by creating transformational experiences to help people, companies and teams tear down boundaries and expand what they believe possible. The world is coming back on-line and people are craving adventure – and with more than 55 event weekends planned in 18 countries across Europe next year, we are eager to help our community experience new race destinations.

“We are excited to work with HotelPlanner, who will make the booking process for racers seamless, allowing our community to focus on crossing the finish line.”

Spartan will host two socially distant races to end the 2020 calendar, and has announced that it will host a further five races in 2021.
