Team WIGGINS, the team was founded by Bradley Wiggins, has agreed a new partnership with Canadian men’s and women’s technical athletic apparel brand, lululemon.
As Team WIGGINS’ first yoga and mindfulness partner, lululemon will provide resources to support mindful performance for the 2018 roster of riders and trainers.
With yoga, meditation, and personal development workshops at the cornerstone of the partnership lululemon will help elite cyclists realise and achieve their goals both on and off the bike.
Alongside the mindfulness programming at training camps throughout the year, Team WIGGINS’ off bike kit will also be sponsored by lululemon. Designed for and with athletes, across a multitude of sports the brand blends craftsmanship, function and fashion using innovative, high-performance fabrics.
Andrew McQuaid, general manager of Team WIGGINS said: “lululemon is one of the world’s leading athletic apparel brands, their innovation in fabric construction technologies combined with their expertise and passion for yoga and mindfulness make them a new and exciting partner for the team.”
“I am delighted that lululemon have partnered with the team. Mindfulness plays an important role in improving performance and I hope it will help the riders achieve our goals for the season ahead. I also look forward to seeing the lads at training camp in March kitted out in their new apparel.” added Sir Bradley Wiggins.
Lindsay Claydon, director of brand & community Europe at lululemon, added: “We are excited to announce this partnership and support such a strong community of driven and ambitious cyclists.
“Grounded in yoga and meditation, we believe mindfulness leads to peak performance in all aspects of life and we look forward to seeing this come to life for team WIGGINS in the year ahead.”
