Under Armour has added to its squad of football athletes with the signing of England and Southampton FC goalkeeper, Fraser Forster.

Alongside ClutchFit Force 3.0 boots and bespoke gloves, Fraser will also utilise various sport technologies including Under Armour’s Connected Fitness suite, the UA HealthBox, to aid his activity, fitness, sleep and nutrition.

This season, Under Armour also became the technical partner of Southampton FC, supplying the team’s matchday kit and training apparel, in a long-term partnership focused on innovation.

Forster will be wearing Under Armour’s ClutchFit Force 3.0 boot for the rest of the 2016/17 season and beyond. The England shot stopper also wears Under Armour gloves and will be one of the first to wear Under Armour’s Desafio gloves once launched.

Forster said: “Throughout my career, I have always been one for working hard and letting my performances do the talking, which I believe ties in perfectly with what Under Armour is about.

“I’m really excited to train and play in Under Armour products, whilst also becoming part of such a young and innovative brand that works with, and boosts the performances of, top sports talent around the world.”

Chris Bate, VP and managing director Europe, Under Armour. “We are extremely proud to have Fraser join the Under Armour family and add to our growing roster of elite football athletes. He is a world renowned goalkeeper who has cemented his place in the England squad.

“Fraser is fearless, driven, and has our trademark humble and hungry mindset to reach the next level in his game, which we believe matches our brand values perfectly. We will provide him with the most innovative equipment to help him reach his goals, this season and beyond.”

Forster joins Memphis Depay (Lyon and Netherlands), Granit Xhaka (Arsenal and Switzerland captain), Jonathan Tah (Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Germany) and Cameron Carter-Vickers (Tottenham Hotspur) in Under Armour’s squad of European football athletes. Outside of football, Under Armour’s global roster of athletes includes Anthony Joshua, Andy Murray, Tom Brady, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Stephen Curry, Jordan Spieth and Michael Phelps.

Yesterday the brand also unveiled double Olympic gold medal winner and 8-time world champion, Teddy Riner, as the latest athlete to join Under Armour’s roster of elite athletes.

Under Armour revealed the new partnership with the judoka with a giant image of Riner printed on a billboard in the centre of Paris in Les Halles district, which has never been used by a brand before.
