Southampton Football Club has announced that the logo of club sponsor Virgin Media will now also appear on the sleeves of the team's home, away and goalkeeper shirts.
Virgin Media became Saints’ main club sponsor in 2016, and the new additional deal serves to strengthen the bond between the two organisations and the exposure of the partnership.
Southampton’s commercial director, David Thomas, said: “We have enjoyed an excellent relationship with Virgin Media over the past 12 months and we are delighted that they have opted to become our new shirt sleeve sponsors.
“This agreement is testament to the partnership that has been forged by the two organisations, and we look forward to continuing our work together this season."
Lloyd Page, director of brand for Virgin Media, said: “Our people take great pride in seeing the Virgin Media brand on the Southampton shirt, so we are thrilled to further demonstrate our support of this fantastic football club in this way.
"As a key strategic partner, we look forward to the new season together, and being at the heart of the drama and passion that surrounds our national game.”
Earlier this year, Virgin Media donated its logo placement to support its charity partner, Scope, for a home match against Manchester United.
