Visa Europe extends Formula E backing

Visa Europe has extended its global sponsorship of the FIA Formula E Championship, having sponsored the European leg of the inaugural season last year.

As part of the deal, Visa Europe will now become the official payment partner for the next three race seasons, until 2018. 

The sponsorship - which will again feature the Visa Fastest Lap - includes trackside branding, tickets and race rights to pass onto Visa Europe’s markets and members.

In addition, Visa is also sponsoring current FIA Formula E champion Nelson Piquet Jr, who will become a Visa driver ambassador.

The second season of the competition will begin in Beijing on 24th October.
