Vitality, the title sponsor of this year’s Netball World Cup in England, has launched #WeAreRising, a new campaign to celebrate the upcoming tournament.
The health and life insurance provider has teamed up with ENGINE Sport on the initiative, which is designed to stoke interest in the 16-team tournament and boost participation numbers in netball at all levels.
As part of the campaign, Vitality has pledged that for every 100 goals scored during the World Cup, it will provide funding for one person to obtain a UKCC Level 1 Assistant Qualification Coaching Certificate through England Netball. Goals in associated activities at the World Cup fan zone will count towards the tally.
The campaign launched at St Hilda’s Church of England High School in Sefton Park, Liverpool, with England Head Coach Tracey Neville in attendance along with national team stars Jade Clarke, Serena Guthrie and Fran Williams.
Chrissy Fice, Brand Director at Vitality UK, said: “At Vitality we use the power of sport to encourage people to be more active, collaborating with elite athletes, clubs and teams to drive participation at every level.
“This mantra is no different when it comes to netball, and our title sponsorship of the Vitality Netball World Cup is proof of our ongoing commitment to building and maintaining the future of netball across the UK.”
The campaign will be activated and amplified by ENGINE Sport, which rebranded from Synergy earlier this year.
The Netball World Cup will take place in Liverpool from 12th-21st July.
Vitality was unveiled as the title sponsor of the Netball World Cup in November 2018. The company is also the title sponsor of the England national team and the Netball Superleague.
