Vitality named title partner for Netball World Cup

Vitality has been confirmed as the title sponsor of next year’s Netball World Cup in Liverpool.

The agreement adds to the health and life insurance provider’s significant investment in the sport, following last month’s extended deal with governing body England Netball – believed to be the biggest women’s sport sponsorship in the UK.

Vitality now has naming rights to the national team, the Vitality Roses, and is also the title sponsor of the Netball Superleague and forthcoming International Series.

This latest partnership with Netball World Cup 2019 comes eight months ahead of the tournament, which will take place in Liverpool between 12-21st July 2019.

More than 74,000 tickets have so far been sold, with organisers hailing the momentum triggered by England’s success at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast earlier this year.

Commenting on the Vitality agreement, Nicky Dunn, Vitality Netball World Cup 2019 chair, said: “We’re thrilled to have Vitality on board as our title sponsor. Vitality has been a loyal supporter of netball for a number of years, so it’s great to be teaming up together for this historic sporting event.

“Since England’s Gold Coast win, netball has really been gripping the nation and the attraction of such stand-out supporters and sponsors is a reflection of how exciting the Vitality Netball World Cup 2019 is going to be.”

Netball World Cup 2019 is a subsidiary of England Netball, whose CEO Joanna Adams told Sport Industry Group last month that the home event was helping drive interest from major global brands.
