West Bromwich Albion has announced the club’s first ever shirt-sleeve sponsorship agreement after teaming up with in-game betting company 12BET.
The deal will see the 12BET logo on shirt sleeves for the 2017/18 campaign and on the Baggies’ training wear.
This first agreement between the club and a new sponsor is for the Premier League season ahead which kicks off on Saturday with the visit of Bournemouth to The Hawthorns.
12BET spokesman Rory Anderson commented: “We are excited to be the first ever betting company to partner with a Premier League club as both Shirt Arm and Training Wear partner. The sustained success of West Brom in the Premier League, makes them a great fit for 12BET, who have a long standing heritage as a recognisable Premier League brand.”
Simon King, Albion’s chief commercial officer, added: “12BET are a reputable brand with a rich history of working in the Premier League. To have been identified as an exciting prospect by the company highlights the growth the Club has made globally in recent years. With strong Asian links continuing to grow, this was instantly recognised as a perfect partnership.”
In the first season of permitted shirt sleeve partners, the majority of the Premier League clubs have now secured an additional or expanded partner ahead of the season kick off on Friday.
