WeWork has signed a new partnership with 2020/21 Premier League Champions Manchester City and its City Football Group sister Club, New York City FC, marking its first move into sport sponsorship.
The partnership deal will see the organisation become Manchester City’s Official Workplace Partner, in addition to an Official Partner of NYCFC.
City Football Group says it recognises ‘the role of the working environment in fostering culture and achieving success’, and the new partnership with WeWork will provide employees based its UK and Singapore offices with ‘inspiring and collaborative workspaces’, whenever they need it.
The move will also see CFG employees given access to additional flexible space at WeWork locations across the world.
Meanwhile, employees of New York City FC will be equipped with WeWork All Access passes, enabling them to work from any of WeWork’s locations in the city, and globally, choosing where is most convenient for them.
“We are delighted to welcome WeWork as a new partner of Manchester City and New York City FC,” said Stephan Cieplik, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships Sales, City Football Group.
“As part of an organisation operating globally, it is important we provide access to high-quality, flexible facilities for our staff to help us harness innovation, collaboration and drive success.
“The team at WeWork has impressed us with their commitment to our shared values, solutions and facilities and we look forward to working with them throughout the partnership.”
Roger Solé, Chief Marketing Officer, WeWork added: “As global organisations with shared values of innovation and collaboration, we’re really excited to become an official partner of Manchester City and New York City FC.
