Wiggin, the law firm focusing exclusively on media, technology and brands, has partnered with the BT Sport Industry Awards as a category partner of the Brand of the Year.
Advising clients on the financing, exploitation and protection of their creative and commercial assets, Wiggin’s sport lawyers are particularly well known for their expertise in the licensing and distribution of high value content and data rights.
Wiggin is supporting the coveted Brand of the Year Award, which was won by adidas in 2017. Channel 4, EFL, Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team, Reebok UK and Team GB completed the shortlist.
Alex Coulson, executive director of Sport Industry Group, commented: “Wiggin are perfectly placed to help a wide array of organisations in the industry navigate the ever-changing world of media rights and content distribution, complex commercial partnerships and brand protection. Their full-service offering and knowledge of the sector will be a great benefit all round. I’m looking forward to working with Ross and the rest of the Wiggin team.”
Ross Sylvester at Wiggin, added: “Our sport lawyers are well known for going far beyond the role of legal advisers, identifying strategic opportunities for rights holders and distribution platforms worldwide. We’re pleased to be partnering with the BT Sport Industry Awards as they also recognize those that go beyond the standard, to deliver consistently exceptional work.”
