Anna Garside


Science & Medicine Manager, Premiership Rugby

Anna Garside is the Science and Medicine Manager for Premiership Rugby. Responsible for the operational delivery and implementation of the science, medicine and research initiatives, specifically focusing on player welfare. Alongside, Anna also sits on the Board for the British Handball Association, as the Independent Non-Executive Director. Responsible for the performance aspect, overseeing the six Great Britain Handball teams, the performance development opportunities and the performance strategy for the Olympic sport.

Anna's background within sport has come from being a Performance Analyst, having started with Leeds Rugby and Loughborough Lightning Superleague Netball teams. Then, most recently being the Head of Performance for British Showjumping, where Anna led on the implementation of the performance analysis setup, the talent pathway and overall performance strategy for showjumping.
