Edward Gregory completed his Postgraduate Degree in Business Management with a focus on Sport from the University of Cape Town in 2014.
In 2015 he joined Cape Town based sports agency Accelerate Sport as a Key Accounts Executive. He was soon promoted to Head of Sponsorship at the beginning of 2016, working to manage clients Netball South Africa, Squash South Africa, World Surf League, Surfing South Africa and the Tsogo Sun Hotel Group amongst others. Playing a key role in the launch of the City Surf Series as well as three dormant SA Open events, he was promoted to CEO in September of 2017 at the age of 26.
During his time as CEO, Accelerate were nominated for Agency of the Year at the South African Sport Industry Awards, signed record sponsorship deals for Netball South Africa and compiled the successful bid for the 2023 Netball World Cup to be hosted in Cape Town.
In October of 2019 he took the bold decision to leave Accelerate Sport, in the interest of furthering his career in Europe, and took up the position of Partnerships Manager at global esports organisation Fnatic where he manages major clients BMW, OnePlus, BudLight, Gucci and more.
