Let's Move for A Better World 2017 launched

Technogym, supplier of fitness and wellness technologies and solutions, has announced its 2017 ‘Let’s Move for a Better World’ campaign.  

From the 13th - 31st March 2017, gym members in fitness clubs all over the world will join forces to donate their movement and promote wellness and healthy lifestyles in their local community and beyond. The more active club members are, the bigger the donation will be to their local communities.

England Athletics appoints Promote PR

England Athletics has appointed Promote PR, as the governing body looks to increase participation in running.

England Athletics has tasked the agency with increasing public awareness and encouraging thousands more people to enjoy the benefits of a regular run in 2017.

Promote PR’s current roster of clients includes; Boudavida, British Rowing, The ECB, Elevate, England Hockey, England Netball, Jumptastic, Life Fitness, Meridian Foods, RDHS, Running4Women, SIBEC, Sweatshop Events, Reading Half Marathon, TeamUp, The Gym Group, TRX, Wattbike and Windsor Half Marathon.


Mass participation event company, Human Race has appointed Speed Communications and Earnie to help drive awareness and participation for the 2017 Cancer Research UK London Winter Run, which takes place on Sunday 5th February 2017.

Following a pitch, which saw Speed Communications and Earnie join forces for the event, the agencies are tasked with growing the 10km run, which saw over 15,000 runners hit the closed streets of London last January.

Tour de France organisers acquire Human Race

Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O), owner of Le Tour de France, and organiser of runs and sportives in Europe, such as the Paris Marathon and L’Etape du Tour, has completed the purchase of Human Race Events.

For the last 26 years, South West London based Human Race has been organising mass participation events, such as the London Winter Run, Windsor Triathlon and Dragon Ride L’Etape Wales.


Jessica Ennis-Hill has teamed up with Vitality to launch VitalityMove, two events that combine running and music to encourage people to take achievable steps to a healthy lifestyle.

The events, scheduled for July and September 2017, will play host to a range of activities for families, beginners and runners. From one-mile music fun runs, family races, and 5k and 10k distances.

All of the runs will take place alongside themed music that will be developed by DJ, Trevor Nelson who will be attending both events alongside Jessica.

Great North Run to feature Duracell pacemakers

Duracell and the Great Run Series have announced that the Great North Run will feature pacemakers for the first time when the runners take to the streets of Tyneside on Sunday 11th September.

Duracell has worked with the Great Run Series to recruit 50 experienced runners who will serve as pacemakers for the huge numbers of runners taking part. The pacers will be the running embodiment of the Duracell Bunny, helping and encouraging runners to run for longer as they take on the half marathon.

Thousands take part in first Parallel London

Thousands of people gathered at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London this weekend to take part in the inaugural Parallel London, the first fully accessible and all-inclusive mass participation push/run event.

A free family festival ran alongside the challenge events in a national celebration of diversity, supported by Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.

Thousands of people participated in one or more of the five Parallel London challenges; 100m, 1km, 5km, 10km and Super Sensory 1km. Over 40% of the participants took part with a disability, supported by over 500 carers.
