MotoGP returns to Silverstone

Silverstone will stage the next two British MotoGP events, after Donington Park withdrew from its partnership with the Circuit of Wales.

Silverstone lost out last September when Dorna, MotoGP's commercial rights-holder, agreed a new long-term deal with the unbuilt Circuit of Wales from 2015 onwards.

At the time Silverstone, which has held the race in recent years, said it had made the 'maximum sensible offer' to retain the event – but instead Circuit of Wales officials announced an agreement with Donington Park as a temporary host for 2015.

Formula E races onto BT Sport screens

BT Sport will broadcast a one-hour highlights package after every Formula E race, complimenting the current live UK rights agreement already in place with ITV4.

The new deal, brokered by MP & Silva on Formula E's behalf, starts with the inaugural event in China on 13th September.

The 10-team electric car championship begins with an event around Beijing's Olympic Park, with Miami and London also set to be part of the 2014/15 launch season.

Pitch secures Virgin Racing Formula E brief

Virgin Racing Formula E Team has appointed the sports and sponsorship communications agency Pitch as it prepares to compete in the inaugural 2014 FIA Formula E Championship, just days after the new motorsport series confirmed a London event will be held in Battersea Park in June 2015.

Pitch will provide all PR and social media support for Virgin Racing as the team gears up for the first race of the championship, which takes place in Beijing in September, and announced its driver line-up of Jaime Alguersuari and Sam Bird last month.
