Women to takeover England Rugby

England Rugby has announced that to celebrate Women’s Sport Week, over 100 female-focused rugby sessions are taking place across the country in a bid to encourage women and girls to play the sport.

Events include pitch up and play sessions at Telford RFC, West Norfolk and Eccles Ladies and Littleborough’s Ladies Night. It is hoped that the week will give new players the chance to try out O2 Touch, pitch up and play sessions and 15-a-side games.

Eddie Jones has appointed former international Richard Hill as England Rugby team manager.

Reporting directly to the head coach, the 2003 World Cup winner will take up the new position at England’s training camp in Brighton on 2nd to 4th October as the team begins its preparation for the Old Mutual Wealth Series.

This is the second time Hill and Jones will have joined forces having previously worked together when Jones was director of rugby at Saracens.

Mitsubishi Motors adds Synergy

Sports and entertainment marketing agency, Synergy, has been appointed by Mitsubishi Motors UK to activate its England Rugby sponsorship.

The integrated campaign created by Synergy aims to bring the automotive company’s ‘Intelligent Motion’ to life and harness the power of fans’ support, according to the agency.

The initial sponsorship lasts for three years and will support the game from grassroots to elite, with the carmaker’s logo appearing on the front of the England under-20 and under-18 shirts.
