Jonnie peacock joins Winter Wonderwheels

npower Winter Wonderwheels has announced that Paralympian Jonnie Peacock will join its next mass participation event, as part of the Superhero Series. 

The second event in the Superhero Series, a new sports series for the UK’s 12.9 million people with disabilities, npower Winter Wonderwheels will see npower team captain Jonnie join over 600 participants of all ages and abilities on 3rd December around Dorney Lake in Windsor.

Jonnie will be joined by 15 Paralympians and TV personalities, including Adam Hills, Sophie Christiansen at David Weir, who are all taking part.

Sainsbury's launches Paralympic challenge

Daniel Sturridge and Paralympic champion Jonnie Peacock have launched a new initiative to get more young people involved in inclusive sport and to raise awareness of Paralympic sport ahead of the Rio 2016 Games.

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Paralympic Challenge has been designed to introduce 2.5m young people to the sports of boccia, goalball, sitting volleyball and athletics, offering schools the opportunity to win prizes, including a trip to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
