Former Leinster and Ireland rugby international player Kevin McLaughlin, has joined Kitman Labs, as vice president of operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
McLaughlin won eight Ireland caps and had more than 100 appearances for Leinster before retiring last year on medical grounds.
The appointment is effective immediately as Kitman Labs’ expand its services in EMEA, while raising awareness for the company’s Athlete Optimization System that helps teams prevent player injuries, with recent partnerships including Norwich City and Everton in the Premier League.
Rugby Union clubs Bath and Gloucester Rugby have announced a new partnership with sports science and technology company Kitman Labs.
The Silicon Valley-based company has signed three year deals, which will see its Athlete Optimisation System used at the two South West rugby clubs.
The medical and sports science teams at Bath and Gloucester Rugby will be using the Kitman Labs’ system to enable players to quickly and easily capture biomechanical information on a per athlete basis.
Kitman Labs, Silicon Valley’s sports science technology company, has named Billy Beane as one of the company’s advisory board members.
Beane, who is executive vice president of baseball operations of the Oakland Athletics, joins current Kitman Labs advisor John Malloy, co-founder of Blue Run Ventures.
Kitman Labs currently has partnership agreements with Irish Rugby Union, Bath Rugby, NFL’s Miami Dolphins, the Barclay’s Premier League’s Norwich City and Everton and the NBA’s Detroit Pistons.
