Saracens announces new commercial joint venture

Aviva Premiership side, Saracens, has announced a new commercial structure to its business that will see the formation of a joint venture with Premier Team Promotions (PTP) which will take on responsibility for all commercial aspects of the club.

PTP, led by chairperson Lucy Wray, has recently taken on former European Tour and Ryder Cup head of marketing Tim Hunt as group CEO and the new joint venture with Saracens adds to a portfolio of businesses in the group that includes the likes of MBN Events and The UK Investor Show. 

Saracens extends Allianz deal

Allianz has extended its partnership with Premiership rugby club Saracens, until at least 2021.

The original six-year deal was announced in July 2012 and this was followed by the official opening of Allianz Park as the club’s home ground in January 2013. The home of Saracens is part of Allianz Group’s family of stadiums which currently includes seven stadia around the world; growing to eight in 2019.


Betsafe, the online bookmaker and gaming company, has been announced as a new principal partner and the official betting partner of Saracens rugby club from the 2017/18 season.

The global sponsorship will run for the next three years and will see Betsafe branding present on the squad's home and away shirts, as well as at Saracens' home ground, Allianz Park. The deal represents the first rugby sponsorship for Betsson Group. 

Betsafe will use the sponsorship to create exclusive content, as well as offering fans bespoke betting offers throughout the season. 

2XU partners with Saracens

Performance sports brand 2XU has become the official compression partner to Aviva Premiership and European Rugby Champions Cup winners Saracens.

Under the terms of the two-year agreement, squad members will be kitted out for training and playing in a range of 2XU’s compression products that incorporate technology endorsed by the Australian Institute of Sport.
