adidas Originals and Arsenal have revealed a limited-edition collection, celebrating the greatest hits of the shared history between the brand and the football club during its first partnership between 1986 and 1994.
Available from 13 December 2021, the range includes a sweater, t-shirt and a zipped jacket as well as the hero piece; a remake of the 1993-94 away jersey – available in both short sleeve and long sleeve. In total there are seven pieces available to buy in the collection.
The launch campaign showcases a celebration of design innovation and timeless fashion, with a focus on this special time of year when family members come together. The launch video features the Arsenal players in a family home setting, with an adidas Originals twist.
Former Arsenal star, Ian Wright, who also features in the campaign, said: “I have amazing memories of playing in the adidas EQT jersey during the 93/94 season, and it’s great to celebrate that era with such a full and proper collection.
“The range has got all the classics and we had a good time on set playing our different roles. I even had to remind some of first team lads and women that we won the Cup Winners Cup that season so now that this is back, we have to win something!”
The collection will be worn by the Arsenal women’s and men’s team in the build up to four fixtures between 9th – 15th December including the Arsenal Women’s UWCL match v Barcelona on 9th December, where the team will walk out wearing the zipped jacket.
