Behind the scenes on Gilbert's Rugby Memories campaign

Rugby ball manufacturer Gilbert has published a glimpse behind the scenes of its Rugby Memories campaign, which ran throughout the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The tournament’s Official Ball Supplier has been a partner for the last seven tournaments, and has used this year’s competition in Japan to look back at the previous incarnations of the event in a nostalgic clip.

The original video featured a boy saving up to buy a rugby ball after being inspired by the action on-screen, and the brand’s latest short film gives the public a look behind the scenes at the planning and the filming of the ad.

The spot is a nod Gilbert’s sponsorship of the Rugby World Cup, but also evokes its place in grassroots rugby.
