The Department of International Trade (DIT) has kicked off its GREAT campaign to showcase Great Britain, with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Guinness Six Nations trophy being prepared.

The video, courtesy of DIT, takes a look into the silver workshop of bespoke silversmith Thomas Lyte, who are the designers and makers of the Guinness Six Nations trophy - as well as the Sport Industry Awards 2020 trophies.

Centred around the pillars of craft, heritage, innovation and sport, the DIT campaign seeks to show off the best of British business post-Brexit.

The Six Nations trophy, crafted by British silversmiths in Thomas Lyte’s London workshop, is spun from Sterling 925 Silver and took over 200 craft hours to make.

Standing at 75cm tall and made from 7kg of silver, the six-sided trophy represents each of the competing nations, with each union’s crest engraved on the plinth.
