Manchester City and Cisco Webex have released a new series of short video clips to give fans a glimpse into the lockdown activities of the club’s mascots.
Created by Octagon and its sister agency Milkmoney, the series shows how Moonchester and Moonbeam dealt with staying at home during lockdown, and shows Cisco Webex technology keeping them connected with other mascots.
Ryan Shaw, Creative Director, Octagon UK, said: “Lockdown continues to be a way of life for us all, including big, blue mascots.
“We wanted to keep fans connected to the fun and entertainment they bring pitch-side week in week out. The incongruity of seeing these oversized characters in a home environment was amusing in itself, creating the scenarios and activities for them was without doubt the most fun we’ve had all year”.
The series sees the mascots take part in an online mascot quiz, camping in the garden, and former City player Joleon Lescott reading a bedtime story with a happy ending (below).
