The ECB has opened the registration phase for its Dynamos Cricket programme, a new initiative aimed at engaging 8-11-year-olds.
The programme was originally launched in early 2020 but postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. In 2021, it is aimed at introducing a new generation to cricket, as well as allowing others to graduate from the existing All Stars Cricket programme for 5-8-year-olds.
The programme is complemented by the free Dynamos Cricket app, which was launched during the first lockdown and pivoted to keeping children active. The app contains exclusive content to help young cricketers learn new skills, take part in interactive quizzes, and unlock videos and challenges presented by key players from The Hundred, which is also set to be launched this summer after a pandemic-induced delay.
