William Hill has launched a new advertising campaign featuring boxing’s unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
The bookmaker claims the new multimedia campaign is the first of its kind for the company as it is brand-led and weighted towards more post-watershed TV spots, as well as cinema and outdoor platforms, rather than having a traditional focus on live football.
Joshua became a William Hill ambassador in 2018, but this is the first time he has been used in an advertising campaign by the company.
The campaign launched over the Easter weekend with the full 60-second ad reveal first appearing on multiple television channels on Saturday. The 30-second versions will run as part of an initial six-week campaign building up to Joshua’s world title defence on 1st June in Madison Square Garden, New York.
