Ahead of Eliud Kipchoge’s attempt to break the two hour marathon barrier in the INEOS 1:59 Challenge, a host of famous sports personalities have lent their support in a series of inspirational videos.

The latest is former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Patrick Vieira, now manager of French football club Nice, which was recently taken over by INEOS.

As part of the #NoHumanIsLimited campaign, Vieira tells the story of his beginnings as a child who moved from Dakar in Senegal to France at the age of eight and the achievement of winning the 1998 World Cup with a racially diverse team of players who triumphed in the face of racism.

Kipchoge is already the marathon world record holder, setting a time of 2:01:39 in Berlin in 2018, and will attempt to break the two hour barrier in Vienna on Saturday 12th October - with alternative timing slots booked in for the rest of the following week to ensure that weather conditions are optimal to allow the Kenyan the best chance of success.
