The in-house team at Six Nation Rugby has created a number of films that follow the Championship stars’ journeys to the top of the sport.
With content captured during the 2022 TikTok Women’s Six Nations, each short film focusses on a player from their respective union or federation to tell the unique and compelling story of the heroes at the heart of the women’s Championship. The 2022 competition was a catalyst year for the Women’s game, with unprecedented broadcast coverage spanning over 130 countries, sell-out crowds and a first ever Title Partner, in the form of TikTok.
The series of short films follows the biggest names at the Championship, charting their early years, journey into rugby, the development of the Women’s game, and the dedication and passion of the player charting their course into and through elite rugby.
The first film focusses on Lisa Thompson, who plays centre for Scotland. Growing up in a small border town in Scotland, Thompson started her rugby career when she was five years old, finding an immediate love for the game, and started a dream to represent her country which has since become a reality, with Thompson playing a starring role in the 2022 TikTok Women’s Six Nations.
