With fans still not allowed back in stadiums and football being played behind closed doors, Chelsea Official Partner and shirt sponsor, Three UK, gave two lifelong season ticket holders the chance to feel the matchday atmosphere again, as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
The brand launched an immersive recreation of Stamford Bridge to transport the couple Back to the Bridge to mark the milestone
The couple, Dave and Cathy, have been Chelsea season ticket holders for as long as they’ve been married, and were treated to the experience which saw the room they were in transform into a simulation of Stamford Bridge on matchday.
Recreated using lumen projectors to transform a derelict East London warehouse into a full stadium to create a full 360-degree immersive experience, the brand had to individually film each fan due to coronavirus restrictions and then composite the films together to recreate full terraces.
The sounds of the stadium were provided by EA SPORTS Atmospheric Audio, the same audio that is now used on match broadcasts
